Summer time and the living is easy????
For those of you wondering what we've been up to this summer, here is a little "summery" hahaha get it! Any-who...this summer has been a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping to get out more with the kids but unfortunately we really haven't. Due to illness, the heat, or the fact that every time we go out I end up chasing the dog around the neighborhood. That being said, when we do get out the kids really enjoy themselves. Riley has been invited to Grandma's and Grandpa's to play with cousins a lot this summer, and has even spent the night. She absolutely loves to do that, so I think overall she has been enjoying her summer.
As for me I have been trying to find some new hobbies, and projects to keep my mind refreshed. I made a corner bench, that I'm pretty pleased with. I did my first fondant frosted cake, for a friends baby shower that turned out super cute. I also tried my hand at gardening, which really did not go well :{ I think I may have to save that hobby for future years when the kids are grown. It was just a little too overwhelming having the kids trample through it, or uproot the plants, not to mention trying to find the time to weed and pamper the plants properly...sigh....actually I shouldn't blame it entirely on the kids, I really do have a "killer instinct" when it comes to plants, but a girl can dream....

This summer for Peter has been work-filled instead of fun-filled. He works long hours at Walmart. Then he comes home from work and picks up my slack, deals with the kids, sometimes makes dinner, or does the laundry, then goes to bed and starts the process all over again. On his days off he usually gets stuck mowing the lawn and doing yard work, which can be an all day process. Very rarely he gets to enjoy some gamer time with his friends. He is such a hard worker, and that's only one of the many many many reasons why I LOVE HIM!!!

They are expensive but so worth it, once the dog learns where the boundary is.. You can get a cheaper version like we had in Casper but you have to bury a line in the ground and is kind of a pain in the butt...
You're kids look so adorable in that picture. We miss you all.
Carrie, thanks for the compliments on my bench. Peter thought I was going crazy because it was one of those got to make something freak out moments, so I grabbed the saw and started hacking away at our pile of scrap wood. I didn't make the curtains however which actually would have been the easier project. ;>
